The Chabad House just opened its doors for the new school year and is hosting more than 500 students daily. The Sephardic Chief Rabbi praised the ongoing efforts that he witnessed ongoing to reach the huge population of 7,000 Jewish students on campus. He specifically mentioned the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s campaign of tefillin and Shabbat candle- lighting. He explained that if a student gets another student to put on tefillin or light the Shabbat candles, they are not only receiving a mitzvah but also they are guaranteed success in the Days of Judgment, as the merit of the Rebbe’s Mitzvah Campaign will stand by them. “The Rebbe is your best lawyer!” the Chief Rabbi explained.

Rutgers Chabad is currently celebrating its 48th year on campus. Its 98,000-square-foot campus hub serves the students with a dormitory, kosher meal program, daily minyan and a panoply of activities and programs.
