This Chanukah help Chabad House feed the hungry. On Sunday, December 13, Chabad House will celebrate Chanukah with the kindling of a large canned goods Menorah. The festivities will begin at 2:00 pm at Stop & Shop of Monroe, 1600 Perrineville Rd, Monroe Twp. The menorah will be lit at 3:30 pm. The program will also feature a spectacular Juggling show, decorating your own donut and dreidel, hot Latkes and music. After the celebration, the cans will be donated to local food pantries.
“Chanukah is all about light, warmth and celebration. With this Menorah lighting we will be including the people less fortunate than ourselves in our festival of lights. We are very excited and proud of this effort, and hope that everyone will participate” said Rabbi Yehuda Spritzer, director of Chabad House of Monroe.
