An historic day took place at the Knesset on Monday, as the Israeli parliament saluted the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the Chabad movement. The special day was attended by the Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Israel,Rabbi David Lau, ministers, deputy ministers, Knesset members from all factions, and Chabad shlichim (emissaries).
The main session of the day was presided by Minister Ofir Akunis on behalf of the government. It was attended by ministers and Knesset members from the right and left of the political spectrum, who told about their experiences and their relationship with the Lubavitcher Rebbe and the Chabad emissaries.
The event was “very, very inspiring,” Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky told Arutz Sheva. “Many many different Knesset members and ministers in the government spoke, and each and every one of them spoke about their own personal relationship that they have with Lubavitch, with Chabad, and had with the Rebbe himself.”
“It inspired me personally and I’m sure it inspired all those who were there in the room,” he added.
