This gala dinner serves as a momentous celebration of the 45th Anniversary of Chabad House at Rutgers and the 11th year of operation of the 90,000-square-foot mega complex known as Les Turchin Chabad House. This impressive facility includes housing for 100 students (separate Men and Women dorms), the Franco-Ashkenazi Sephardic Synagogue and Library, The Shevell Family Ashkenazi Synagogue, Student Lounges, Recreational Areas, Gyms, and a 750-person Kosher Dining Hall with Commercial Kitchens. Chabad House caters to a population of seven thousand Jewish students at Rutgers University, making it the largest Jewish student body in the USA.

Rabbi Yosef Carlebach, Director of Chabad House, will provide insights on the past year’s outreach programs and activities, as well as the center's extensive work within Rutgers and the surrounding communities. Attendees at the dinner will receive a special coffee table "45th Anniversary Album" that visually chronicles the history of Chabad House, from its humble beginnings in 1978, in a rented room at the Rutgers Student Center, to its current status as the largest Jewish Center on any public university campus globally.
