Synagogue Trip to the Rebbe's Shul and Crown Heights, NY This past Sunday, our Shul Congregation Sons of Israel, sponsored its Annual trip to Jewish New York.  After the Shachrit Minyan, and a hearty Bagel Breakfast, the participants boarded a van.   The first stop was the Ohel in Queens , NY, and where prayers were said, and the chief rabbi of Melbourne, Australia, Rabbi Zvi Telsner addressed everyone with personal anecdotes, and a pre-Passover Message.

This was followed by lunch at Pomodori Restaurant, and the group received a personal guided tour of the Michoel Muchnik Studio by the artist himself!

The group also visited a Scribal center where they saw first hand the making of Torahs, Tefillin and Mezuzot.  Then a visit the the renowned Crown Heights Shmurah Matzah Bakery.   The entire Matzah baking process was seen and a description was given by Rabbi Dovid Papes.

The group then visited the Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway, also known as "the Rebbe's Shul", and prayed the Mincha Prayer.

After shopping in Judaica Shops on Kingston Ave., the group culminated the tour with a steak dinner at Kasbah Restaurant in the Upper West Side.

All participants were amazed at the vibrancy of Jewish life and look forward to future Shul tyrips.
