Chabad Shluchim greet new Senator Baroni on Election Night
The Election Day - 2007 has just ended when urgent calls were made to two New Jersey Shluchim to attend a "Victory Celebration". The Honorable William Baroni had just been elected in a landslide victory to the New Jersey Senate, and requested the presence of his friends and supporters. The newly elected Senator had recently visited Chabad House at Rutgers University and had met with all the local Shluchim representing central and southern New Jersey.
Bill Baroni has already been a supporter of Jewish causes and especially of the Land of Israel, and the Shluchim were extremely impressed by his dedication to common causes. In addition the Senator participated in Grand Menorah Lightings with the Chabad Rabbis, and has committed to continue this time-honored tradition.
